ThankYou.

September 28, 2008

To everyone who came out for the party this Friday at my house, thanks. It was a big hit, we raised over $1,000 dollars for the American Brain Tumor Association. Very generous. My headache is finally resolving and we all have learned that it is not a good idea to drink a “Boot” full of Captain and coke. Apparently if you do you get special powers and can do Nic Cage Con Air push ups…awesome. A special thanks to Mully for coming out and spinning some sweet sounding soul and boogie music.

PARTY THIS FRIDAY : MY HOUSE

September 23, 2008

Sunday morning and boy is it raining. Next Sunday is the North Shore Century ride (link below to register). I rode it last year and it is nice relaxing trip to Wisconsin and back. Some of the homes and neighborhoods you ride through are amazing. So far me and Will be making the ride and Jack is on the fence. So yes, that means I will have to postpone barbecue plans again. Hope to have some more people out there. Last weekend German Fest and Misericordia Family Fest were both a blast. Remember to spread the word about the party at my place on the 26th.

Also, it looks like the Sunday Parkway rides are approved and going to happen. I’m glad this is going down, but why so late in the year. Hopefully next year will include more then two dates and have them mid summer so everyone can get down. I will make it to the first one on Oct 5th to check it out.

Summer Throw Down

September 6, 2008

I have set a date: Friday Sept 26th. Mark it down. Straight up house party. Kegs, whiskey, DJ’s, dancing, angry landlords, you know the drill. Me and fellow puppy Shannon are running the Chicago Marathon this year in support of The American Brain Tumor Association. We hope to raise some money for them. 100% of donations will be given directly to them. Tell your rich nice friends to come on over.

Looking at Sunday the 21st as the Promontory Point barbecue (i will try not to cancel once again).

Our friend and trailer B.O.B. cannot make it this Saturday so we will have to postpone our barbecue plans. Just got back from seeing Andrew Bird, he rocks the violin like no other. Great show. I still hope some to see some people this Sunday at the Misercordia Family Fest. Also Friday I may make my triumphant return to German American Fest up in Lincoln Square. Get your boot drinking shoes on.

Events This Week

September 3, 2008

Tonight at Pritzker Pavillion: Anderw Bird will rock it out. I will be there weather permitting. Bring a blanket, some food and drink and pass out on the great lawn. Very relaxing.

Saturday: im putting together a barbecue down at Promontory Point (55th and the lake). I need to see if B.O.B can make it. I will update the site with more details later this week. Summer Send Off party.

Sunday: Misericordia Family Fest!  I will be working the northeast door around 12:00 so you can get apuppy discount on admission. You should really check out this event. Take Ravenswood up north, it’s a nice ride. It’s located just west of the Church / Cemetary at Ridge on Devon. Get drunk, listen to the pipes, play bingo, eat a fat ass turkey leg (the food is great, come hungry), come early-stay late. Let me know if you want to ride up.
